Mologic, a Thurleigh, UK-based rapid diagnostic products and technology provider, received a $4.8m grant.

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation provided the grant.

The company intends to use the funds to establish CARD, a new technology centre within Mologic, whose objective is to create rapid diagnostic test technology for the detection of protein biomarkers at the point-of-care.

Led by Chief Scientific Officer Professor Paul Davis and CEO Mr Mark Davis, Mologic develops rapid diagnostic products and technology. The company has advanced a 10 product portfolio to pre-market evaluation, with 3 products receiving CE mark approval in 2016. The remaining products are destined for launch in 2017 and 2018.
