Berlin venture capital firm defies Brexit concerns to launch in London

One of Germany's leading venture capital firms has defied Brexit concerns to launch a new office in London, targeting investments in promising British start-ups.

Berlin-headquartered Target Global has €700m (£600m) under management and is best known for its investments in the likes of Delivery Hero, the German rival to Just Eat.

The VC firm, which has four general partners and 50 staff, will open an office in central London in Soho.

The London base adds to Target's European footprint with other offices in Moscow and Tel Aviv. Two of the firm's partners will be based in London, along with eight other support and finance staff.
