- Curious - delivery industry is ruled by inefficiencies, do you find it annoying or fascinating?

- Adaptable - it’s a fast-paced startup, we’ll need you to be able to keep up!

- Humble - you’re willing to get your hands dirty and you’re open to feedback

- Ambitious - you believe in the power of your work and want to make a dent in the world!

What you’ll do:

- Write "clean", well-designed code

- Work with the Product Owner to prioritise features and improvements

- Develop Back End services and architecture for large-scale web applications using Node.js and Google APIs

- Taking ownership of the software you build, from analysis to production and support

- Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and architecture to ensure strong optimization and functionality

- Improve a first generation intelligence translating a laid out set of human behaviours into code.

- Able to analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources

Nice to Haves:

- Experience building large-scale, real-time applications

- Contributor to machine learning or A.I. projects

- Familiar with blockchain technologies

About us:

- We are a high growth startup cash positive since day one. We have created a product that helps merchants improve their service quality, speed and reliability, all by reducing their operational costs and headaches. At the same time, we generate volumes for last-mile courier services and help them smooth their peaks, thus optimising their resources.

This is why our customers love us and refer us to other businesses spontaneously! Last quarter our client base has grown by 1700% through referral and word-of-mouth alone. We are very proud about this, basically, our own customers do our own BizDev!

Here are some real results:

So far Orkestro’s clients have cut customer service queries by 42%* and reduced operating costs by 21%*. More than 100k deliveries have been made by Orkestro within the M25 alone, of which 99.8%* on time in full. (*based on Orkestro’s client records)

The company has been accelerated by StartupBootCamp Amsterdam: Smart Cities and Living, in early 2017 and has never needed investment to sustain its growth. Note however that a major investment round is planned for mid-2018, meaning that you will experience a lot of changes, a lot of last minute deliverables and, possibly, a lot of upgrades.

The company culture has stayed very "startuppy" until now and we intend to keep it that way: with a small, passionate and international team based in Shoreditch.

That’s enough about us, to ensure you’ve read the entirety of this job posting, please include your favourite cryptocurrency alongside your application - or just write "BRITISH POUNDS" if you are not into cryptos :)
