Stowga is an early stage, rapidly growing startup backed by some of the best investors in Europe and the US. We won Wired Magazine’s Startup Showcase 2017 award and have just closed a £1.5m funding round. We are looking for highly motivated and intellectually-curious software engineers to join our rapidly expanding team.

Our platform allows warehouses to optimise their space by offering the under-utilised capacity to customers who take that space without the long-term commitment of a lease. By switching the fixed cost of a lease to a variable cost we transform the economics of this $300bn global market.

We are an early stage but growth and traction to date have been impressive: we built the largest database of warehouses on the planet, identified a data-driven customer acquisition model, and signed up some of the biggest names in the industry on both the retail and the warehouse side of our marketplace.

We are gathering a world-class team of technology and logistics experts to build this category-defining product. We hire for soft skills and intelligence over experience.

We like to build things that solve problems, you will not be constrained by the process – we work in small product teams that take a lean approach.

Our product team look for skilled and collaborative design thinkers who are motivated and excited about the potential of data, technology and interaction and who are keen to consistently raise the quality of our collective work by defining elegant solutions that make engaging with Stowga second nature for our customers and suppliers.

- 3 or more years of commercial experience as a UX or Product Designer.

- Experience defining complex workflow-driven products in finance or similar.

- UI design skills a plus.

- All the key software skills for your craft – Adobe at al. + Prototyping capabilities.

- Front-end capabilities are a big plus, you will not be expected to code but deeper technical understanding is considered very useful.

- User research and testing competency does not need to be the core skill but experience of working in tested cycles will be useful.

- We value a good attitude over extensive experience.

- A strong communicator within the Product team and also when working with the Engineering, Commercial and Marketing teams.

- A commercially/entrepreneurially driven designer, who wants to do more than execute on someone else’s ideas, would suit someone who wants to get their hands dirty and actually go in to bat for the company.

- Excellent salary.

- Options in a well backed, fast-growing company with huge ambition.

- 25 days holiday.

- Training, conference and equipment budget.

- Hack days.
