The job

We are searching for a highly entrepreneurial COO. The COO’s main role will be to lead product development. However, as the COO is joining an early stage startup, they will be involved in all aspects of the business.

The company

RightsDD empowers companies to respect human rights. Our first product is a tool to help companies identify and manage modern slavery risks in their supply chain; in compliance with the UK Modern Slavery Act. The Founder and advisory team have extensive domain experience.

We recently graduated from Bethnal Green Venture’s (‘BGV’) Tech for Good accelerator. In addition to funding, BGV continues to provide strategic support to RightsDD. RightsDD is at an early stage but has validation and has secured the support of a multinational law firm.

You

Most likely you are a tech product manager. Alternatively, you may be a consultant at a leading management consultancy with tech experience. Tech industry and external facing experience is critical.

Roles and responsibilities

• Lead technical development of the product (domain experience not required)

• Build and lead tech team, further leadership roles likely

• Support sales and managing of external relationships

• Support in raising investment

Skills (essential)

• Ability to project manage software product development

• Tech literate - strong familiarity with agile/ lean processes

• Leadership - as demonstrated by having lead team(s)

Experience (essential)

• Minimum of five years’ professional work experience

• Three years (of the five) in software (as a product manager, project manager, COO or equivalent role) or with a major management consultancy

• Demonstrated track record of managing products and teams

• Bachelors degree+

Experience (desirable)

• International business experience

• Fundraising experience

• B2B experience
