Autotrip is seeking an exceptionally talented candidate to take the lead role within the sales team. Joining a small, motivated team, you’ll have the autonomy and creativity to approach sales using your personal skills and experience. We’ve just completed extensive R&D, built some amazing software to automate the business mileage claim process, and have just embarked on the sales process. We’re looking for an ambitious, focused and driven Business Development Manager to accelerate their career and join a small growing team.

Working alongside an entrepreneurial MD and our Commercial Director – who’ll provide guidance and mentorship - you’ll take ownership over the sales process within allocated verticals, with a focus on closing new business for the company. You’ll be engaging with fleet managers, business decisions makers and the UK’s 6m+ business drivers, to drive adoption of our product.

Who we are?

Autotrip is radically improving the way drivers in the workforce manage their daily lives, taking the mundane and tedious task of logging mileage expenses, and automating it through an easy to use application. We’ve built the most accurate mileage reporting system, helping businesses reduce their mileage costs by up to 35%, lower their fleet emissions and ensure HMRC compliance.

We’re on a mission to build simple products that make people’s lives easier, boosting employee productivity and satisfaction in the workplace, and ultimately saving businesses time and money. Having recently closed a funding round, we’re looking to grow our team here in the UK, before expanding internationally next year. We’re a small, cross-functional team, backed by the UK’s leading sustainability incubator, Sustainable Accelerator, supported by the UK Government’s Innovate UK, the European Commission’s Horizon 2020, the London Co-Investment Fund, alongside private investors.


• Creating new opportunities from inbound lead follow-up, and outbound emails/calls

• Managing prospective clients from initial contact through to trial/pilot and close

• Providing ongoing account management for larger clients, where a upsell opportunity exists

• Working closely with the product team to provide user feedback for product improvements

• Preparing high-quality presentations and proposals for submission to clients in support of pitches and bid opportunities

• Be able to deliver a perfect elevator pitch over the phone and in person as well as writing carefully crafted emails

• Establish a healthy pipeline and be committed to converting as many as possible to paying customers

• Build strong relationships and gather market feedback that will help us refine and improve our product

• An entrepreneurial flair and passion for start-ups: You’re positive and action orientated. You are eager to rapidly grow and develop with the company, capable of taking on greater responsibility as the team grows and expands.


• You have 2-3+ years’ B2B sales experience

• Prior experience in a fast-growing company a plus.

• Prior experience in software sales is a bonus


Base Salary - £26,000 - £32,000 + generous commission structure (OTE £40-45k)

Your remuneration package will include a combination of base salary, OTE earnings (commissions), plus, all the standard perks of working for an exciting, early-stage business, and an opportunity to join our employee share option scheme.

As the first member of our sales team, you’ll have the autonomy to make decisions and take ownership over the sales process. Working closely with the MD & management team, it’s an excellent chance to shape a rapidly growing startup.
