Want to do something that makes a difference? We’re helping more people find and survive skin cancer and need someone to take help build brilliant services for our patients. You’ll be a key member of the development team and will help transform the way people access skin cancer services.

Who are we?

Skin Analytics is a healthcare company building a clinical quality diagnostic service for melanoma using Artificial Intelligence. We’ve won a number of awards both here in and in Australia and are adding to our technology team.

We are a small agile team of 7 with ambitions to grow quickly. We want to work with smart people who are self-motivated to get things done.

What will you be doing?

We are looking for a senior and back-end engineer to work with our growing technology team. You will be in charge of:

- Building new features on our commercial platforms (both web and native mobile apps eventually) with the rest of the tech team

- Manage and improve our infrastructure to support business needs

- Coding and implementation using best practices to produce high performing/scalable/secured modules

- Supporting and maintenance for our existing application and customers

- Working / participating to our internal R&D on new components

About yourself

Must Have

- 5+ years experience developing large scale web applications

- Strong experience with modern backend frameworks (Node.js / Express)

- Experience building RESTful and integrating with 3rd party APIs

- Exposure to containerization tools (Docker)

- Experience with test driven development and testing frameworks

- DevOps experience, Linux (Ubuntu) servers administration

- Avid user of Git / Bitbucket / Jira / Confluence

- Experience managing web applications & databases while in production

- Experience with unit testing (mocha, jest, jasmine, etc.)

- Ability to work efficiently and iterate often to produce high-quality code

- Good sense of humour!

Nice to have

- Familiarity with AWS ecosystem

- Experience with Javascript frontend frameworks (Angular 4, React Native)

- Experience building backend systems for mobile phone apps

- Experience with Python

- Experience in Continuous Integration

- Basic understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
